Courmayeur paese_Hotel_La Grange

At Mont-Blanc foot, Courmayeur is the last Italian city, before arriving to France, in Chamonix, through the tunnel of Mont-Blanc; it is crossed by Dora Baltea river, which takes its origin from the junction of the two creeks of the two valleys: Val Ferret and Val Veny.

It is situated 34 km away from Aosta: it is the most western city in the Valle d’Aosta, and the second largest. It is also the only Italian city to border both with France and Switzerland, even if there are no direct ways to Swiss territory.
